Outdoor Spaces
If we go back to the beginning of time our fist homes were outside…in a garden, we were one with nature, connected to all.
No matter the climate - (believe me I fought the NW rain and cold for years!) Now it is more important than ever to connect with nature for grounding and healing, to find our inner landscape and connection with nature.
Embrace the climate you are in- create and use your outdoor living spaces, even the tiniest can make a difference.
Historically gardens represented metaphors for our spiritual life so an orderly garden was a symbol consciousness while a forest represented our unconscious.
A few thinks to consider adding:
-Portals, doors and gates represent a promise to paradise and Heaven
-Garden Canopy represents shelter of the divine
-Paths, pathways are symbols of spiritual path - never straight
-Garden ornaments, fountains and art feed our soul
-Sound and sight of water, enhances tranquility/serenity
-Fragrances -Gardenia, Jasmine, Rose awaken our senses
-Stones and moss add texture for grounding and beauty for our eyes to gaze on
